The 2013-2014 NFL season has finally begun! With your fantasy football draft in one hand, and your beer-holding hand at the ready, you’re ready to experience football season. Whether you’re visiting Ballard and you’re looking for some NFL-friendly activities to do while in town, or you’re a local looking for some neighborhood football goings-on, we hope this list helps you.

Watch the Game at Ballard Station. This isn’t your dive-y sports bar! The Ballard Station Public House is an excellent place to watch the game while enjoying local and craft beers, wines, ciders, and spirits. They have some tasty snacks to pair with your game day beer, from popcorn to meat & cheese plates. While they also serve up some delicious Panini sandwiches, you can also bring in your own food! The atmosphere is a couple of steps above your average sports bar that’s packed to the seams with college kids on game day, but it’s still pretty busy so get there early to get a good seat.

Fill Up The Growler … Just About Anywhere! Ballard is the place to be when your growler is empty! The neighborhood is filled with some of the most notable (and the newest) Seattle breweries, including Hale’s, NW Peaks, Hilliard’s, Populuxe and more. Fill up your growler at these and other Ballard breweries, and you’ll be stocked with some fantastic Pacific Northwest beer for game day!

Get Your Wings at Wingmasters. Nothing says game day like a basket of wings! Order yours for takeout, or sit and enjoy at WingMasters Sports Bar. They pull out all the stops when it comes to their tasty chicken wings – 12 different flavors, ranging from mild to hot, and in batches of 6, 12, 18, 24, and 50! Mix and match different flavors, or get a dozen of your favorite lip-smackin’, finger-lickin’ flavor. Garlic Parmesan, Teriyaki, Apricot Jalapeno, Atomic Blazin’ and more! Get three or six pork wings instead if you’re in the mood.

Hop on the Seahawks’ Party Bus. Seattle Seahawks fans will not want to miss out on Ballard Loft’s Seahawks Party Bus for home games! When the ‘Hawks are in town, participants gather at Ballard Loft to enjoy brunch, then get on a bus to head to the game (game tickets not included), and then hitch a ride back to the Loft to celebrate victory or lick their wounds. The cost is $35 per person and includes some great amenities for game day! Click here to find the game you want to attend. Of course, if the ‘Hawks aren’t in town, Ballard Loft is always a great spot to watch away games or your other favorite teams!

Let’s raise a glass to many happy kickoffs, and another for your team’s victory this NFL season!
